“100% Worth it - I have an industrial design degree from 2019. In the Spring of 2018, I took a mandatory class to teach us how to use SolidWorks. The teacher was a student who graduated 2 years prior and was a terrible teacher. I learned nothing in that class. Up until this point, I wanted to learn how to use SolidWorks so badly. I tried to teach myself, but it was difficult, and I could never truly grasp it. Since I have bought books, watched YouTube videos, signed up for other online classes (soildprofessor), and such. I learned a bit, but it was never truly clear what I was doing. I found TTT when I was working for a company that used SoildEDGE. I was bummed it wasnt soildworks, but it was what they used. For 2 years, I learned Solid Edge but used TTT practice games to teach myself. Recently, I moved out of state and left that job. SolidWorks finally offers a design license that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, so I thought it was finally time to learn SolidWorks. I took the TTT free 30 miniute soildworks class and felt like I learned a lot in just 30 minutes. So I invested in myself and paid for the beginner's course. It is 100% worth it. Toby's teaching style is SO good. He is clear, he moves at a good speed (not too slow, not too fast) and he explains what he is doing. There are practice examples and a quiz after each chapter, which makes the information stick. I now plan to do lots more of the practice examples on TTT, and once I'm feeling more confident and complete in my skills, I'll apply for my SolidWorks certification. I will definitely be purchasing the TTT SolidWorks certification test course beforehand. Thank you, TTT, you have made learning SolidWorks fun and enjoyable, all while feeling like I really am learning the program.”

The explanations are clear, there's (sometimes more than enough) repetition, and the exercises actually make you think about what you've learned so far. “Excellent overview to get you started - I am new to the world of 3D modelling and it has nothing to do with my daily job/tasks. I am learning to design things for 3D printing and will branch out to other projects like welding and possibly some light machining. This course is exactly what I needed to start modelling in Solidworks and allowed me to create 5 models of things I needed (mostly car parts, but one large multi-print mod part for better filament drying with my Python AMS. “Very well laid out course - I been programming CNC equipment of various types for a the past 15 years. I've worked with simple to complex parts/components. I played with Solidworks a very very long time ago at my work place where I would occasionally make custom jaws for our vices to hold odd shaped parts but it took me more than I wanted to and it was not elegant at all. I always wanted to learn the correct work flow to drawing a part and taking it to the shop floor. Thanks to all that worked putting this together.”
